What happens if you slide off the road when there is a tornado on the way?

Jeepers! Without knowing the story, etc, I'm loathe to make much comment, but it's hard to know how they got into that position of being in the ditch - if it were a mud road, well - yes, they are very tricky to drive on, which is why it's best not to use them!

See http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/showthread.php?p=269973#post269973 for a bit more description, but it doesn't state why the slide occurred!

Very sad news that a young child was killed along with 4 others http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article...

A young boy was killed by falling debris in his home during Monday’s storms and a man was crushed to death when his vehicle flipped over on top of him. Three others lost their lives in Cleveland County and 58 people were injured, two of them critically.
